The adsorptive filter media REFINECOAL binds harmful substances such as chlorine, remains of cleaning agents, water treatments, colouring agents etc.
- REFINECOAL is needed for the setup of new ponds, water changes or after the use of water treatments.
- REFINECOAL can be used for up to 4 weeks and should then be replaced.
- REFINECOAL works best when combined with REPLAYRAW and REPLAYFINE filter pads.

EHEIM recommends:
Never wash filter media in hot water or use chemical cleansing agents as this will destroy the sensitive bacteria. To ensure the optimum colonisation of valuable filter bacteria, do not clean the filter media before the water flow decreases significantly.
